O.K. Don't ask me to name all the people in this photo... but our fearless leader, senior class president and reunion organizer extraordinairre, Mike Richard is sitting second from the right in the front row - next to Kitty's heartthrob, Danny Finklea.
In the third grade, I remember being in a cat-fight (men would pay to see that now) with Cheryl Weller, (second row, right)- even though we were really pretty good friends at the time. This picture was taken 5 years after the "main event" which lasted less than five minutes (I got my ass kicked) and involved a lot of scratching and hair pulling. It's no wonder - that was the year President Kennedy was assassinated - the country was in shock and things were tense!
Who knows what this teacher's name was? I'm thinking something like Mr.Diamato? (Or Mr. Roboto...)
Yes, Dom D'Amato. He gave me a 32 on my sex-ed test, which brought the class average WAAAAAAYYYY down. I didn't take that course very seriously.
ReplyDeleteMike, it is strange how the old memories come back. I remember that test. Dom read one of my answers to the class. He was looking for the name of the in utero structure before birth. Instead of putting "fetus", I put "feces". An obvious error now that I look back on it.
ReplyDeleteA perfect pic to say how choices that parents make can ruin ones life forever...Geez mom what were you thinking when you picked out those glasses for me to wear!!!!????? LOL!
ReplyDeleteI don't know, Robin. Twenty-some years later, that TV war reporter Ashleigh Banfield ( http://www.ashleighbanfield.com/ ) became a sex symbol with glasses like yours. And thirty-some years later, so did Tiny Fey ( http://www.collectivelymad.com/images/babes/tina_fey.jpg ). I've been wearing Sarah Palin-type glasses (they're men's glasses) for a couple of years now, long before she made them ultra-popular.
