Quiz: Name This N.H.S. Musician


Me and another classmate are fairly sure we know who this is. (Of course, we may be wrong -- obviously, it's happened before -- me being wrong in naming N.H.S. people in photos.)

I don't think this quiz is deserving of a reunion prize, because unless the person himself (it's a boy, right?) steps forward and says it's him, we may never know whether any guesses are correct or incorrect.

    I don't know Ed, I think itlooks like Neil Okeson. And Mike....unless you also think it is Neil, you must be wrong because you know that I am always right!!! So if this is you Neil, please let us know.

    My money was on Neil Okeson as well - do all of you guys actually sit ON your computers waiting for the next quiz??? I just celebrated the last school day of the 2008-2009 school year - and I'm doing the happy dance. Didn't have a chance to weigh in so quickly... but keep 'em coming!

    Ed, I would like to take you up on your challenge, however, this is MIXED CHORUS which means exactly that....it's mixed with students from not just our class but all of the underclassmen/women. I do not know all the names of students who were not in our class. I will try though to make a list and bring it to the reunion...I suggest you do the same and we will compare them! And also Ed...who took this picture? They cut off the person sitting in the front, far right next to Cheri!
    And sorry Mike, but once again.....as for the reunion theme song you spoke of in your blog...I believe that was sung by Captain & Tennille, not Neil Sedaka! You must be thinking of "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do"

    Neil Okeson wrote both "Love Will Keep Us Together" AND "Breaking Up Is Hard to Do," not to mention "Calendar Girl" and a bunch of other pop hits from the '50s through the '80s. He sang his own "Love Will Keep Us Together" before the Captain and Tenille, who did make it a big(ger) hit for themselves. I mean, Neil Sedaka did.

    I hate to admit it, but years ago me and John Geuther and wives and friends saw Neil Sedaka and Joan Rivers live in Las Vegas.

    In Vegas, something like that is not so awkward.

    It was my wife, and John G.'s wife at the time. And, in general, there's no problem with a guy having more than one wife, depending on the situation. Is there? ;)

    OKOKOK. I happened to know that back then, Neil Sedaka had hair just like mine, and although little known to the public, he did play sax.
    The musician pictured really IS Neil Sedaka.
    However, if people are putting money on me, I'll open a deposit account.

    Its Neal Oksen, I used to play sax next to him, the girl next to him is proablly Bea Gorden. Vanskiver didn't play in the band
